Creston Valley National Wildlife Area

Creston Valley Important Bird Area is located in south-central British Columbia on the floodplain of the Kootenay River Idaho. Creston Valley includes provincially significant fauna such as White Sturgeon, Northern Leopard Frog and Grizzly Bear. The IBA hosts globally significant populations of American Coot, as well as Western Grebe and American White Pelican and species at risk such as Bobolink, Long-billed Curlew, Western Screech Owl, Short-eared Owl, Common Nighthawk, Barn Swallow and Bank Swallow.
